DEX (Utilities)

You Build Things That Last. Now Prove the Professional Behind the Work.

You manage projects, coordinate crews, operate complex systems, and deliver infrastructure that communities depend on. Your capability shows up on the ground, not on paper. DEX (Utilities) certifies your professional readiness within infrastructure and utilities, verified by outside assessment.

The Signal Problem

Infrastructure work is physical, technical, and high-stakes. The people who do it well are easy to recognize on a jobsite and nearly invisible on a resume.

A trades certificate proves you completed training. A project management credential proves you passed a vendor exam. Neither proves you can coordinate a cross-functional team, manage a systems deployment, or govern a portfolio of civil projects.

If you are a project manager, a site supervisor, a systems operator, or an infrastructure planner, your experience is deep. But translating that experience into a credential that employers, clients, and procurement teams can read at a glance is a problem you know well.

What DEX Certification Proves

A DEX (Utilities) credential tells employers and clients that you have been assessed by an outside body for professional readiness within infrastructure and utilities. It proves you can coordinate, deliver, and manage within this domain at a verified level.

This is not a trades certification or a technical licence. It is a readiness signal for the professional capability that keeps infrastructure projects on track: coordination, decision-making, stakeholder management, and operational accountability.

The credential is publicly verifiable, renews every 12 months, and is recognized wherever utilities readiness is relevant.

Four Levels of Readiness

DEX is open-entry. Candidates may attempt the level they believe matches their current readiness.

DEX-A Associate Recommended starting point if you are entering infrastructure operations, coordinating site logistics, or supporting project delivery. You contribute within structured systems and deliver work to standard.

DEX-P Professional Recommended starting point if you manage projects, systems, or operations without continuous oversight. You own your scope and deliver dependable results.

DEX-M Management Recommended starting point if you lead project teams, manage infrastructure operations, or govern multi-site delivery. You coordinate across trades and are accountable for outcomes delivered through others.

DEX-PF Portfolio Recommended starting point if you direct strategy across multiple infrastructure programmes, capital projects, or regional operations. You manage risk, resources, and long-term planning at the portfolio level.

How It Works
