Corporate Licensing

A Corporate Quality Standard Built on DEX Certification

A Licensed DEX Services Provider is an organization with a formal licensing agreement with Ask for Dex. It tells your clients that your team operates at a defined, verified standard of professional readiness.

What This Designation Means

Individual DEX certification answers: "Is this practitioner ready?" The Licensed DEX Services Provider designation answers a different question: "Can this organization be trusted to deliver work at a defined standard?"

The designation does not replace individual certification. It builds on it. An organization earns it because a sufficient proportion of its practitioners hold active DEX credentials.

What the Licence Grants

Licensed organizations may use the following rights under the licensing agreement.

Public Designation

State in proposals, website, and marketing that the organization is a Licensed DEX Services Provider.

Practitioner Confirmation

Confirm that practitioners assigned to engagements hold active DEX certification.

Mark Usage

Display the Licensed DEX Services Provider mark per usage guidelines.

Procurement Use

Reference the DEX standard in procurement submissions and pitch documents.

Registry Access

Use the public registry to demonstrate practitioner credentials to clients.

What the Licence Does Not Grant

The licence does not grant authority to issue, modify, or revoke DEX certifications. Only Ask for Dex may do this.

It does not grant the right to use the DEX name or mark beyond the licensing agreement, any implied endorsement of specific services, pricing, or business practices, the right to sub-license the designation to any third party, or the right to interpret or represent DEX standards on behalf of Ask for Dex.

Requirements

Two tiers of licensing are available based on the proportion of certified practitioners.

Tier 1: Licensed DEX Services Provider

60% or more of billable practitioners hold active DEX credentials. At least one senior practitioner holds DEX-M or DEX-PF. Compliance with the DEX Licensed Provider Agreement.

Tier 2: DEX Certified Practice

90% or more of billable practitioners hold active DEX credentials. Minimum 24 months of continuous Tier 1 standing. Enhanced listing in the DEX Certified Practice directory.

Maintaining Your Licence

The certification threshold must be maintained continuously. If you fall below, a 90-day remediation window applies.

Individual practitioners must renew within each 12-month cycle. The organization tracks renewal timelines. Ask for Dex must be notified within 30 days of material changes to the organization's structure or workforce.

An annual licence declaration is required.

Suspension and Revocation

Immediate suspension may result from: false representation of certification status, misuse of the DEX mark, falling below the threshold without remediation, or conduct causing reputational harm.

Revocation is permanent with a minimum five-year ban on reapplication. All actions are recorded in the public registry.

How to Apply

Licensing fees are scaled to practitioner workforce size. Sole practitioners holding DEX-P or higher are eligible for a reduced-rate practitioner licence.

Step 1: Submit a licensing enquiry. Step 2: Ask for Dex reviews eligibility and provides a fee schedule. Step 3: Complete the Licensed Provider Agreement and onboarding.
